Handpainted gourds, local TN birds and more.

All in acrylics, then clear sealer over it.

All my furniture painting is done in acrylic paint, lasts for ever and is very simular to old European traditional paint used many hundred years ago!!

Bottom picture, a 4X8 feet wall mural on plywood....needless to say it goes near the pool !!!

Give me some paint and some brushes, a canvass or some wood...a piece of paper will do too....as long as I can get creative with paint and pencil I am good to go!!

This one to the left is a wall mural in a kitchen without window...well we just went ahead and created a window....looks pretty real and it never needs to be cleaned!!!***

Furniture painting is a very old art, many hundred years ago in Europe....especially in Austria, Swiss and Germany the furniture painters branched off from bredless and poor church painters, traveling over the Alps into villages and towns in mountain regions.

Combined with local wood craftsmen, these painters and this art form went all the way out into the late 18oo hundreds before it faded out to wood imitations, carvings and other furniture decorations of newer times.....

Handpainted, no stencils or pre-pencil drawing. I believe in the pure moment of when paint meets wood, it flows while I paint....floral arangements and old time grafics are my favorites in furniture painting, also landscapes and 4 seasions in door frames.

My all time favorite piece of wood furniture to paint is the Armoire!!!

This one to the right is a water color painting, about 24X13 inches.

To honor 200 years of Scott county, my home town ( where I grew new roots...) Which is sort of funny...because my Great great grandpa and his brother signed the petition back then to make Scott county a permanent county!!

The court house tower and the original flag with >15 !< stripes.

I donated this picture to the town of Gate city and hopefully it will be displayed at the newly remodeled courthouse lower floor.

Love to do quick pencil drawings....and since I like motorcycles and old cars this one is just that.....fantasy art is another one of my favorites, strange and a bit "out there"

I do drawings and paintings in pencil and water color....Surrealism, Fantasy art and a bit odd stuff too.....

I am a BIG fan of Salvador Dali!!!

Left and below: over many years I painted countless pieces of furniture, sometimes forgotten and old....sometimes lost in a basement or attic. Sometimes rescued from the trash pile and re-done to make a show piece for a home, a living room or just any place you need a conversation piece and practical furniture!!

Every piece of furniture I paint will become a base coat, at least two final coats and then a free hand painting of what ever design is desired....floral old world motives, landscapes, four seasons and much much more....

Above and above to the right:

Some of my more unusual drawing style, a fantasy surrealism style....sort of...but its my style and I like it! Water color pencils and or ink/lead pencil works well....art is different, art is beautiful!!

This style of furniture painting is an old European style, mostly at home in the southern part of Swiss, Austria and Germany....I have been enjoying painting furniture since I am 15 years old...

Some of my early wood furniture painting.
All with acryl paint and mostly with oil patina brought to a darker more antique finish for the "old world look"...
